Annual Fund: Held in the Spring during non-auction years, the goal of the Annual Fund is to help with initiatives that tuition alone does not cover. Donations go towards preschool enhancements. Previous projects have included playground, library and resource room renovations.
Auction: Bi-annual event in the Spring featuring a silent auction and live auction as fundraisers for NMP…food, beverages, and fun for all.
Birthday Books: An opportunity for parents to donate a book to the NMP library in honor of their child’s birthday. Information forms are sent home via book bags several times each year.
Chapel: A school wide assembly, held each Monday.
Donuts with Dad/Muffins with Mom: A special time for dads/father figures and moms/mother figures to visit your child’s classroom, share a morning treat, and see how your children spend their time at preschool.
Early Birds: Early morning drop off for all NMP students available Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 9:00 for $15.00 a day.
Gift Show: NMP’s largest annual fundraiser, held each November, where vendors sell a variety of goods before the holidays.
Graduation: A special time for NMP pre-K students before they move on to “big school” held each May.
Inside Little Northside: NMP’s weekly newsletter sent via email every Monday.
Little Hands: Every year each class, with the help of a parent volunteer, makes an individual work of art using handprints from each child.
Meet & Greet: An opportunity the day before school starts for you and your child to visit their classroom together. Before or after your classroom visit be sure to stop by the preschool lobby for information on everything NMP (carpool numbers, after school activities, and school wide volunteer opportunities.)
Nurse’s Nook: A dedicated space at the preschool where students can receive basic medical care, health assessments and first aid treatment during the school day from one of the licensed nurses on staff.
Parents’ Night: An adult only event where parents visit the classroom and get to hear about the class from the teachers. A school wide meeting is also held on this night so that the director and members of the Board can give updates on our school and introduce all the teachers.
Parents Council: A group of volunteers who oversee some of the fundraising opportunities and extracurricular activities at NMP. This group is open to anyone who is interested in getting more involved with the preschool.
PikMyKid: Mobile app used for afternoon carpool/dismissal.
Preschool Board: A group of parents and staff who, under the guidance of the director, meet monthly to discuss and vote on the policies, procedures and financial status of the school. Members are nominated and elected by current board members.
Remind: School-wide text alert system used for emergencies, weather delays/cancellations and other school-wide updates throughout the year.
School Spirit Wear: NMP t-shirts, car decals, water bottles, etc that are available for purchase at Meet & Greet and throughout the school year.
Stay & Play: An after-school program for children in a 3-year-old class or older available Monday – Thursday, 12:30 – 1:30 for $15.00 a day.
